A Breakthrough in Understanding Beliefs that Drive Behavior
Some of the most notable scientists of recent times, such as James Prochaska, Carl Jung, and Carlo DiClemente, have spent their lives uncovering the innate qualities in our humanity that are the key to unlocking and exploring the beliefs that determine our behavior.
The BeliefMap Approach is based on three theoretical models of behavior that we have interconnected to deliver a new view into beliefs and behavior.
BeliefMapTM builds on this scientific approach to the real world using advanced research methodology, cloud-based technology, data analysis and belief mapping.
- The Transtheoretical Model (TTM) of behavior change, which we use to analyze what stage of behavior the majority of a target market is currently in, and which segment can be most easily influenced for change. This model was first developed in 1977 by James O. Prochaska and Carlo DiClemente, who found that behavior change is a process of five stages through which people pass.
- The Health Belief Model (HBM), which we use to analyze the target’s core beliefs driving their behavior. This model determined that there are four core health belief areas that determine how proactive we are in our health management. This model was first developed in the 1950s and is by far the most commonly used theory in health education and health promotion today.
- The Human Archetype Model, which we use to gain insight into the target’s personal emotions and motivations. This model was developed by Carl Jung and has been widely used to analyze basic human motivations and predict how we will react to different emotional situations.
